Safemoon is a relatively new cryptocurrency project that was launched in March 2021. Another unique feature of Safemoon is its anti-whale mechanism, which aims to prevent large investors from manipulating the market. This mechanism automatically sells a portion of a holder's Safemoon if their balance exceeds a certain threshold, which helps to distribute the token more evenly among a larger number of investors.

The founders of Safemoon are John Karony and Thomas Smith. According to the Safemoon whitepaper, Karony and Smith were motivated to create the project in response to the volatility and risk inherent in many cryptocurrency investments. They sought to create a token that would provide a more stable and rewarding investment opportunity for users.

Safemoon has gained much attention in the cryptocurrency community, particularly on social media platforms like Twitter and Reddit. However, it is worth noting that like any investment, there are risks associated with Safemoon, and its value can be volatile.

Safemoon Swap is a decentralized exchange (DEX) that operates on the Binance Smart Chain. It was created by the Safemoon community as an alternative to centralized exchanges and to allow for the seamless exchange of cryptocurrencies, including Safemoon (SAFEMOON), SafeMars (SAFEMARS), and SafeEarth (SAFEEARTH).

The Safemoon team has hinted at potential future developments, such as a Safemoon exchange and a mobile wallet. They have also mentioned exploring partnerships with other projects in the DeFi space.

In addition, Safemoon has expressed an interest in supporting various social causes and donating to charities. The team has stated that a portion of the transaction fees generated by the Safemoon token will be used to fund these initiatives. Another direction in which the project might move is building a centralized exchange and NFT marketplace.

Safemoon V1 migrated to Safemoon V2 in December 2021 with the original supply consolidated at 1:1000. The total supply of the Safemoon token is 1 trillion, with about 559 billion coins in the current circulation.
