Despite the fact that CAKE and WAVES are such an exotic exchange pair that there’s no price chart for this pair to pull up — you can still easily swap CAKE to WAVES at SwapSpace.
From the beginning of December 2022, the prices of both CAKE and WAVES tokens were moving in a similar trajectory along with the overall trends of the crypto market. At that time most of the cryptocurrencies were experiencing a downtrend and the prices of both coins were going down. On December 10 to swap CAKE with WAVES users had to pay 1.9. While both tokens continued to decline, the price of CAKE experienced more losses, which affected the CAKE to WAVES price chart to go up to 2.1. The CAKE to WAVES price chart stayed at around that level almost till the very end of December.
At the beginning of January 2023 the price of CAKE in WAVES was at around 2.2. The conversion rate stayed rather stable as both assets were going up in a similar tempo. In the middle of January the situation changed as WAVES token started to outperform the native coin of the PancakeSwap exchange. From January 16 the CAKE to WAVES exchange ratio went down to 1.54. It then grew to 1.9 as the value of WAVES went for a correction. By the end of January the CAKE token was gaining value much faster and outperformed the WAVES coin, which made the CAKE to WAVES exchange ratio to go up to 1.7 and then drop again as WAVES was building up its value.
At the beginning of February both tokens were going up along with the trends of the crypto market. On February 5 to swap CAKE with WAVES users had to pay 1.6. The CAKE to WAVES conversion rate stayed stable till the end of the month, when WAVES started bullying, making the CAKE to WAVES price chart lose points, going as low as 1.3.
From that point the CAKE/WAVES trading pair price started to slowly return to the previous level as the value of the WAVES token was corrected. On March 1 the CAKE to WAVES exchange ratio was at the level of 1.56 and stayed around the same level in the following week as both tokens were moving in a similar trajectory, losing their value as the crypto market was experiencing a price correction. On March 9 the value of CAKE in WAVES was at 1.71.
