In the middle of March 2022, the ZEC token was recovering from the bearish market influence and showed significant growth. In the two last weeks of March, it grew from 142 USDT to 209 USDT on March 26. But ZEC token couldn’t maintain the same high level of price for a long time and in 2 days went on a downward trajectory. It caused ZEC to USDT conversion ratio to start declining.
By April 12 the price of the ZEC token in USDT dropped by more than 30%, reaching 142, and continued to go down until April 18 when ZEC to USDT exchange rate dropped to 137. At the end of April Zcash experienced a brief token price recovery and ZEC/USDT trading pair price raised to 169.
The beginning of May was marked by the crash of the Bitcoin price, which affected the altcoins and the whole crypto market. On May 8 ZEC to USDT price dropped to 119 and continued to fall until it reached 71 on May 12.
It was followed by a short recovery period that lasted for 2 weeks. Though the price of ZEC in USDT couldn't break the resistance level of 109 and reached its highest level of 114 on May 18. The last week of the spring took the market down even more and the value of ZEC in USDT dropped to 85 in the last days of May.
Despite the hopes of the traders and ZEC token holders, the token couldn’t recover in June, even though it was slightly bullish at the beginning of the month, trading to USDT at a level of 90. On June 13 the price of ZEC to USDT collapsed to the level of 60 and continued to go down.
