Transaction Routing & Screening Policy

1. Our Commitment

SwapSpace is a non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange aggregator. We do not hold, store, or control user funds at any point. All exchanges are executed directly between the user and the selected third-party exchange provider.

SwapSpace is committed to preventing the use of its platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. We strictly adhere to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) standards consistent with FATF Recommendations and international best practices.

Because we do not hold user funds and do not act as the executing party in any exchange, our compliance approach is focused on two areas: the quality and integrity of the exchange providers we list, and the risk profile of wallet addresses involved in transactions processed through our platform.

2. How We Screen Transactions

Transactions routed through SwapSpace are subject to automated blockchain analytics screening. Our system assesses the risk profile of wallet addresses in real time, checking for exposure to:

  • Sanctioned addresses — wallets linked to OFAC, UN, EU, or UK (OFSI) sanctions designations.

  • Criminal activity — wallets associated with ransomware, theft, darknet markets, fraud, or terrorism financing.

  • Mixers and tumblers — services designed to obscure the origin of funds.

  • High-risk exchanges — platforms with known weak or absent AML controls.

If a wallet address triggers a risk flag, the transaction routing may be blocked, rejected, or referred for further review, and access to our interface may be suspended. Please note that as a non-custodial platform, SwapSpace does not hold or freeze user funds; however, the receiving third-party exchange provider may freeze funds in accordance with their own compliance policies. We may request additional information from the user in such cases.

3. Identity Verification (KYC)

SwapSpace does not require users to register an account or complete identity verification for standard transactions. However, KYC may be required in the following situations:

  • Provider-initiated KYC:

the exchange provider selected for your transaction independently flags the transaction as suspicious and requests identity verification on their side. This is governed by the provider's own AML/CTF policy, not by SwapSpace.

  • Regulatory requirement:

where applicable law or a request from a competent authority requires identity verification.

  • Risk-based determination:

where our internal review of a transaction indicates a need for additional verification.

In all cases, you will be informed of the requirement and the next steps. KYC is processed directly by certified third-party identity verification providers in compliance with GDPR requirements. Providing false or misleading information may result in restricted access to the platform.

4. Exchange Provider Standards

SwapSpace only lists exchange providers that meet our due diligence requirements to the extent reasonably practicable. Before any provider is integrated into the platform, we verify:

  • Corporate identity and ultimate beneficial ownership.

  • Regulatory status.

  • The provider's own AML/CTF policies and KYC procedures.

  • Absence of sanctions exposure affecting ownership or management.

  • Geographic risk exposure.

Providers are monitored on an ongoing basis. We reserve the right to remove any provider from the platform if it loses its regulatory status, is subject to enforcement action, or fails to maintain adequate compliance standards.

5. Restricted Jurisdictions

SwapSpace restricts access from jurisdictions subject to comprehensive international sanctions, including those designated by OFAC (US), the European Union, the United Nations, and HM Treasury (UK). This currently includes, but is not limited to:

  • Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea).

  • Iran.

  • Myanmar.

  • Syria.

  • Cuba.

We also apply enhanced scrutiny to transactions involving wallets with significant exposure to countries on the FATF list of High-Risk Jurisdictions or Jurisdictions under Increased Monitoring. Geographic restrictions are enforced through technical controls supplemented by wallet-level screening. Attempting to circumvent these restrictions is a breach of our Terms of Use.

6. Prohibited Use

Use of the SwapSpace platform for any of the following purposes is strictly prohibited:

  • Money laundering or the concealment of proceeds of crime.

  • Financing of terrorism or proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

  • Transactions involving sanctioned individuals, entities, or jurisdictions.

  • Use of mixing, tumbling, or other obfuscation services to obscure the origin of funds.

  • Any other activity that violates applicable law.

7. Cooperation with Authorities

SwapSpace cooperates fully with law enforcement agencies and financial intelligence units upon receipt of valid legal requests. We retain compliance-related records for a minimum of five (5) years in accordance with applicable legislation.

We do not disclose to users or third parties the existence of any law enforcement request or related investigation, as required by applicable law.

8. Questions and Compliance Inquiries
