What is SHIBA INU?

Shiba Inu is a cryptocurrency that was created in August 2020 by an anonymous individual or group of individuals under the pseudonym "Ryoshi." The cryptocurrency is named after the Japanese Shiba Inu dog breed, which is also the inspiration for the popular meme cryptocurrency, Dogecoin.

Like Dogecoin, Shiba Inu is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that operates on the Ethereum blockchain. It was created as an experiment in community-driven cryptocurrency development, with the aim of creating a decentralized ecosystem that is not controlled by any single entity or individual.

The Shiba Inu network is secured through a consensus mechanism known as Proof of Stake (PoS). In PoS, validators (also known as "stakers") are required to stake a certain amount of the cryptocurrency in order to participate in the network and verify transactions.

In addition to the PoS consensus mechanism, the Shiba Inu network is also secured through cryptography and the use of public and private keys to secure and authenticate transactions. The network is also designed to be resistant to various types of attacks, such as distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks and Sybil attacks, through the use of various security measures and protocols.

The Shiba Inu ecosystem consists of several components, including the SHIB token, the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange, and the ShibArmy community.

The SHIB token is the native cryptocurrency of the Shiba Inu network and is used within the ecosystem to facilitate transactions, incentivize network participation, and reward users for contributing to the network's growth. The token has a total supply of 1 quadrillion tokens, with a large portion of the tokens held in a "burn wallet" to help reduce the circulating supply and increase the value of the remaining tokens.

ShibaSwap is a decentralized exchange that allows users to trade various cryptocurrencies, including SHIB, without the need for a centralized intermediary. The exchange operates on the Ethereum blockchain and is designed to be fast, secure, and easy to use. ShibaSwap also features liquidity pools that allow users to earn rewards for providing liquidity to the network.

The ShibArmy is the name given to the community of supporters and users of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The community is made up of individuals who are passionate about the project and are dedicated to helping it grow and succeed. The ShibArmy is known for its active social media presence and its efforts to promote the project and raise awareness about the benefits of decentralized finance (DeFi).

In addition to the SHIB token, the Shiba Inu ecosystem also includes two other tokens: BONE and LEASH.

BONE is the governance token of the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange. Holders of BONE are able to vote on proposals related to the development and management of the exchange, such as changes to fees or the addition of new tokens. BONE can also be used to stake liquidity in the ShibaSwap liquidity pools, where users can earn rewards for providing liquidity to the network.

LEASH is a relatively new token in the Shiba Inu ecosystem that was introduced in May 2021. It is designed to be a limited supply token that is pegged to the price of Dogecoin. LEASH has a total supply of just 107,647 tokens and is intended to be a high-value asset for investors who are looking to speculate on the price of Dogecoin.

LEASH is also used as a reward token within the Shiba Inu ecosystem, where it can be earned through staking SHIB or BONE on the network. Holders of LEASH are able to trade it on various cryptocurrency exchanges, where its value is determined by supply and demand.

Average Fees on the Shiba Inu Network

The average fees on the Shiba Inu network depend on a number of factors, such as the current demand for network resources, the complexity of transactions being executed, and the gas fees set by users.

Gas fees are the fees that are paid by users to miners on the network to compensate them for the computational resources required to execute transactions. These fees are denominated in Ether (ETH), which is the native cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain on which Shiba Inu operates.

As of March 31, 2023, the average gas fees on the Ethereum network are around 50-100 gwei, which is equivalent to approximately $2.50-$5.00 USD per transaction. However, these fees can vary widely depending on network demand and other factors.

It's worth noting that while Shiba Inu operates on the Ethereum network, the fees associated with using the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange and other components of the Shiba Inu ecosystem may be different from the fees associated with using the Ethereum network more generally.

SHIB Token Wallets

SHIB is an ERC-20 token, which means it is built on the Ethereum blockchain and can be stored in any wallet that supports ERC-20 tokens. Some popular options for storing SHIB tokens include MetaMask, MyEtherWallet, Ledger Nano S/X, Trust Wallet, Exodus, Atomic Wallet, Trezor, Coinomi, Guarda, etc.
